The new horror thriller from Nightcrawler director Dan Gilroy finds Jake Gyllenhaal as an art critic who meets his match in a series of spooky (possibly living?) paintings. The movie is set to premiere at Sundance before hitting Netflix in February.
Netflix’s upcoming Velvet Buzzsaw reunites the star with Nightcrawler director Dan Gilroy, and seems to capitalize on Gyllenhaal’s manic energy.
The film takes place in the art world, and centers on a series of eerie paintings discovered in the apartment of a recently deceased man.
